Living Ready for Eternity

If you knew Jesus was coming back tomorrow, what would you do differently today? That’s the question we should live with every day. We don’t know when Christ will return, but we do know He will. And that truth should shape every part of how we live.

Like the wise virgins in Jesus’ parable, we must be prepared. That means walking in holiness, being faithful in what God has entrusted to us, and staying alert. Eternity is not a future possibility, it’s a present reality we live in light of.

Living with eternity in mind will change how we spend our time, how we love our families, how we treat our coworkers, and how we respond to temptation. We are not living for this life alone, we are living for the life to come.

We’re not called to be perfect, we’re called to be faithful. So stay anchored. Keep your lamp full. Encourage one another. And keep looking up.
