ABIDE IN GOD’S LOVE AND WALK IN HIS PLAN
Psalm 86:11 (NLT): "Teach me your ways, O Lord, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, so that I honor you."
Mindful Minute: As we pause our participation in a life-interfering behavior during these 30 days, we have an opportunity to divert our attention to something good and positive.
We can take the time to get to know God better and understand that in His creation, He made everything good. Using our daily journal to list out what we are grateful for and meditating on His Word creates closeness, understanding of His loving nature, and His wonderful plan for us. This ultimately makes it easier to abide in His ways and His love. The more we understand the depth of His love, the more we want to abide in His ways.
As we grow closer to Him and understand His incredible love for us, we develop a healthy fear of being disconnected from Him. This is how we start to understand just how much He desires us to avoid situations that steal our relationships, productivity, and identity.
The natural product of healthy fear is experiencing the beauty, awe, and love of our Heavenly Father.
Prayer: Father, thank you for your Word today. I thank you for everything in my life that is good and give all the glory to you. Continue to teach me your ways through Scripture so I can draw closer to you. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
