Self-Actualization – and Now It’s All About Me?Näide

Do you still let God have a say?
"I'm going to focus on myself first." This is a sentence we hear more and more often. A sentence that often hides wounds people want to work through. They want to "focus on themselves" because they've been hurt "by others." Or, because they believe they can't make progress as quickly "with others." In this context, modern words quickly come up, like: "It's about self-realization, self-protection, self-respect."
I was just about to start writing on this extremely complex but important topic when something happened that became the ENTIRE MESSAGE on the subject: I was about to start writing without giving God the opportunity to clearly speak into it. 😲
I have to confess to you now, I was so motivated to say something on this big topic that I did it MYSELF, without asking God. Now I'm almost glad that happened because THAT'S the message:
While we're focused on OURSELVES today, God has a plan that goes HIS WAY.
At that moment, I quickly reached for the Bible to catch up on what I had missed, and I immediately read the following verse: "The most important commandment is ... You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength!" (Mark 12:29-30 NLT
Are you starting to see what God was clearly showing me in that moment, so I could pass it on to you? While we're focused on “ourselves,” God wants us to ALWAYS focus on HIM first.
Because HE HIMSELF wants to take care of YOURSELF!
Woah, if only we could understand that! The big secret of the day is: EVERYTHING you're searching for “WITHIN YOURSELF,” you'll find IN HIM.
So today, don't “start by YOURSELF.” Let God have a say first. 😉
You are a miracle!
