Begin Your Day God’s Way

DAY 2 OF 3

What You Say Can Change Your Day

Embracing the Power of Words

How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless], who walk in the law [and who are guided by the precepts and revealed will] of the Lord.

Psalm 119:1 (AMP)

What we say is important. The power of our words cannot be underestimated. Our words are direct reflections of our hearts and guide our actions. Choosing to think and speak positively lays the foundation for doing what is right.

Our declarations shape our beliefs and, in turn, influence our lives and the world around us. If I say I cannot do something, I probably won’t do it. But if I say I can do something, then actually doing it becomes more likely. The more we say something, the more we believe it ourselves, because we hear and feed on our own words.

Search God’s Word to see what it says about you, and then align your conversations accordingly. Do this even if you don’t fully believe it yet. Declare God’s Word until you believe it, then speak it in faith and watch what God will do in your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Lord God, I embrace the truth of Your Word and want to more fully align my words with what You say about me. Thank You for helping me see from Your perspective and speak out Your vision for my life. In the powerful name of Jesus I pray, amen.
