Wisdom for Life – ProverbsNäide

The Law of Love
Even as our natural inclination is to return ill for ill, God's law is different. At the heart of the cross is the mystery of grace: unmerited, unearned, and undeserved. In Jesus we see justice and mercy reconciled and perfected in One Person. It is our privilege to reflect some of His grace back into the world by meeting bitterness with kindness, hostility with peace. Even when this seems impossible, accept God's mercy and leave it with Him.
Prayer: Father, you know and you see the injustices in the world, the big ones and the small private harms. You alone can bear the weight of sin – the sins of others as well as my own. Thank you that I do not need to carry the burden of sin. Please help me show kindness and grace to those who sin against me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
