Instructive Pathways to Kingdom Wealth

DAY 25 OF 30

RECOGNIZING WHEN GOD CHANGES YOUR INSTRUCTIONS

One of the key principles for supernatural living is learning when a divine instruction has expired. God does not change, but His instructions often do. When something that used to work stops working, it’s time to seek new directions. However, you don’t need to wait for things to collapse before enquiring from the Lord. God wants to lead you daily. Victory comes from walking in step with His current instructions, not past revelations.

When Elijah was at the brook Cherith, he had a divine supply chain in place: ravens brought him bread and flesh twice daily, and he drank from the brook. But one day, the brook dried up. It was not a failure of God’s faithfulness—it was a shift in divine strategy. Elijah didn’t panic, complain, or question the instruction that once worked. Instead, he listened for the next instruction. God had already made provision through a widow in Zarephath. Elijah's obedience to the new word preserved not only his life but that of the widow and her son. Had he remained at the dried brook, he would have perished with yesterday’s obedience.

This is where many believers get stuck. They keep holding on to an expired instruction and wonder why the provision has dried up. God is not unjust—He is simply progressive. What worked in a previous season may not be what He’s blessing now. Don’t romanticise the past. Seek fresh direction. Just because He led you to that job, city, or strategy doesn’t mean it’s your permanent station. Be sensitive to divine shifts.

THOUGHT TO PONDER:
Am I still relying on an old instruction that no longer carries God’s breath? Have I checked in with God for a fresh direction?

PRAYER:
Father, You have never failed anyone, and You will not fail me. Bring me into awareness of my next divine instruction. Amen.
