Connect With God Through Solitude | 7-Day DevotionalNäide

Wait on the Lord- Strength through Surrender
There is nothing more revitalizing to our souls than encountering the Lord. God’s Word tells us that those who wait on Him will find renewed strength, so much so that we can soar like eagles, uninhibited by our circumstances. Waiting is another beautiful way we can encounter the Lord in Solitude.
The word ’wait’ in Isaiah 40:31 means to look for, to hope, and to expect. Hence, waiting on the Lord is looking for Him and expecting to encounter Him. There is an expectancy and a longing for the joy you know you’ll experience when you meet with Him.
Prayer
Father, thank you for Your perfect timing. As I wait on You, You are strengthening me completely. I receive Your strength and surrender my plans and desired outcomes. I give you my burdens today and in exchange, receive Your light and easy yoke. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Application
- Think about the last time you encountered the Lord. Meditate on what He said to you or how you experienced Him. Now use that example to build your faith and encourage your heart to look for Him again in this encounter.
- Engage the Lord. You can do this by asking Him a question, getting on your knees, journaling, worshiping, or any other way you encounter Him. Then expect Him to respond to you. Let Him strengthen your spirit and settle your soul.
About this Plan

There is only one way to God, and it's through Jesus. But in Jesus, there are many ways to connect with God. One way is through Solitude. Connecting with God through Solitude is when you desire to give God all of your attention and affection by being alone with Him. You can be intimate and vulnerable with the Lord when it’s just you and Him in the room. Through this 7-Day devotional, our goal is that you would walk away equipped to connect with God in this way!
