RETURN to ME: Reading With the People of God #16Näide

Turning Back with Purpose
Today’s readings powerfully call us to return to God—not with empty rituals, but with genuine hearts and purposeful lives. Amos laments the fall of Israel and urges the people to seek the Lord and live (Amos 5:4, 6). Their failure wasn’t just sin; it was a refusal to live out justice and righteousness in their daily actions.
In Mark, Jesus’ transfiguration reveals His glory, preparing His followers for the challenges ahead. When faced with doubt and difficulty, Jesus encourages faith and action, reminding us that the journey of following Him requires trust and perseverance.
These passages challenge us to examine how we live out our faith. Returning to God means more than words—it demands living justice, showing mercy, and walking humbly with Him (Amos 5:24).
What practical step can you take today to align your life with God’s call? How can your actions reflect a true return to Him?
Return with intention—let your faith be alive in deed as well as devotion.
About this Plan

This 16th installment of our Reading with the People of God plan invites you into the voices of the Minor Prophets—Hosea through Nahum—calling God’s people to return with sincerity and trust. Paired with the Gospel of Mark, we’ll hear Christ’s invitation to repentance and renewed faith. Each day includes readings from Psalms, the Old Testament, and the New Testament, with a brief devotional primer. May these readings draw you nearer to the Lord, awaken your heart to His mercy, and echo His faithful call: “Return to Me.”
