Rest to ResetNäide

The Goodness of Day and Night
When you rest, you can recognize the goodness around you. Taking a moment to pause can even help you consider a different way of working and living. In Genesis, God consistently modeled how to pause from the work that has to be done “next” and all the tasks that await us from the beginning. We see that while God took time to create the world, he repeatedly reflected and appreciated each aspect of what He created.
As you read Genesis 1:1-3 today, you are invited to embark on this same journey. While we read that the earth was empty and wrapped in darkness, God thankfully created light to separate the darkness from the light, establishing the concept of “night” and “day.” Many people, including myself, traditionally distinguish between day and night activities with these two markers. Can you imagine a world without light?
Reflection Moment:
Take a moment to reflect on the significance of sunlight in your everyday life. Light allows us to see the world clearly! Did you know it also serves as a primary source of vitamin D, which helps support our bone health and immune system and ensures that our muscles and brain cells function well?
