Numbers: A Faithful God to Unfaithful People | Video DevotionalNäide

Prepare Your Heart
Welcome to Numbers: A Faithful God to Unfaithful People. Before you journey through the book of Numbers, watch the short overview video below. The book of Numbers shows us what it looks like to get trapped in the cycle of sin. Whether it was Israel in the wilderness or ourselves in the city, we all disobey and are headed toward punishment. Only Jesus can break the cycle of sin, intercede for us, and bring us out of the wilderness to himself.
Reflect
Next, we invite you to read a central part of the book of Numbers. Numbers 14:26-38 shows us that even when God's people rebel and disbelieve, his promises are still sure—but disobedience has consequences. This passage confirms the major theme of Numbers: that God is faithful to bring his people into his presence, but only through trust in his appointed leader, which ultimately points to Jesus, the true and better Joshua who leads us into the final Promised Land.
What's Next?
Each day of this reading plan, you will watch a short video that walks you through the book of Numbers and shows how God is faithful to his covenant with Israel, even when they fail to be faithful to him.
Each day, you will see the same three things:
1.What’s Happening?
This section explains what is going on in the text.
2.Where is the Gospel?
This section shows how this story ultimately points to Jesus and his Gospel.
3.A Time of Prayer
This is a short prayer meant to propel you into Scripture to see the good news of Jesus for yourself.
We hope this journey transforms you. Our prayer is that the Holy Spirit would open your eyes to see the beauty of Jesus in all of Scripture.
