PreachNäide

What exactly are our “good works”? What makes our actions “good”? Is it the actual tangible manifestation of a physical action, or must our actions carry the appropriate spiritual/emotional intention behind our work? I don’t know that it’s possible to do “good works” without being motivated by some element of love. I believe that even when we are not feeling up to the task of living our faith, the most important thing we can do to snap out of that trap is serve!
It’s nearly impossible to be self-centered and depressed when you find ways to serve others. Could it be that God knew how important serving would be for his children? Through Jesus, we were given a blueprint of the perfect model of faith in action; a living demonstration of others-centered, self-giving agape love. Because God is love and we are seated in him as co-heirs, then we are “in love.” Our actions of pure love and serving should be a natural consequence of who we already are. How are we finding ways to serve others today?
