Beauty from the Beginning

When I pass a mirror, I can’t help but glance at my reflection. But when I stop and look, I seem to notice all the things I don’t like. I see the gray hair that never stays put or the freckle that drives me crazy. Today, we are going to change that. Look in the mirror and find something beautiful. Declare it without apology today, even if you have to whisper it!

Father, could You help me see myself the way You see me, as Your beautiful child? I want to believe that I am beautiful, not in a vain way, but in a way that shows confidence in the work of art You created me to be. Let me see the beauty in my own heart and recognize it in others with abandon and without judgment. Amen
