Sealed - Part 3Näide

DAY 3: The Seal of Identity
Knowing that God knows us gives us great comfort and hope. It is not merely the divine attribute of omniscience but something more tender, closer, more gracious, and more strengthening than just the thought of God's all-seeing eye.
Why has the Church of God not been eradicated long ago? Because the seal He has placed upon it—the Holy Spirit—is indestructible. Though its outward appearance may change, the central Truth and the living Person within the Church, despite all its corruptions and weaknesses, cannot die, be suppressed, or removed.
There is a promise in the Old Testament about the outpouring of the Spirit on all flesh in the “last days.” The closer we get to the end of this age, the more the Spirit will manifest in an increasingly dark world. Hearing and believing in the Word of Truth places a seal on us, imprinting God’s image so that we may become more like His Son, Jesus.
However, in the last days we live in now, there is a fierce battle for human souls—to be controlled either by the Holy Spirit or man-made mechanisms. The world system, dominated by the spirit of the Antichrist, will promote the destruction of God's image in people. Implantable technologies will produce enhanced human beings with hybrid artificial intelligence, radical life extensions, and even more opportunities for self-customization culture.
All of this is an attempt to destroy human identity, which was originally designed in the image and likeness of God.
Therefore, we must be watchful of deceptive ways that seek to destroy the seal of the Holy Spirit, which is the only guarantee of God’s promises for salvation and inheritance. We must be wholly His, conformed to His image, and not marked by this world.
Jesus will not lose what belongs to Him.
My Prayer:
God the Father, You are my Shepherd, and know that I am Yours.
The seal of the Holy Spirit gives me the identity that I am Your daughter.
The image of God is being imprinted on me as the Holy Spirit helps me in this path of sanctification.
Jesus Christ is my righteousness.
You know me with tender mercy.
I bear Your name.
Help me to turn away from iniquity.
Help me to reject the mark of the world, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
