The righteous will live by faith
The Christian life begins with faith and always continues with faith (Romans 1:16-17). The phrase "from faith to faith" is translated into a paraphrase with "a process begun and continued by their faith" (J.B. Phillips New Testament).
Inheriting the promise (Hebrews 6:11-12) requires a combination of faith and patience.
In order to keep faith alive, it is necessary to add other Christian virtues (2 Peter 1:3-11). With these things, faith is not superseded. On the contrary, it matures and is strengthened to bear fruit.
It is important to maintain faith until the end of the race (2 Timothy 4:7-8). We can achieve this thanks to the grace of God, who is determined to finish His work in us (Philippians 1:6).
About this Plan

The Bible compares the Christian life to a race in Hebrews 12:1. Unfortunately, many people approach it as if it were a sprint, in which a quick start counts, or a middle-distance race to run smoothly. The real comparison is with a marathon, where various things and people are trying to slow us down or stop us. We must approach the race with the right mindset and with the knowledge that God provides us with the means to go all the way. What a tragedy it would be to abandon the race when victory is certain!
