Untold Stories: Remembering the Faithfulness of GodNäide

Known By You: The Secret Place
What could matter more than our time with the Lord? It’s in the stillness and the waiting where He prepares us. It’s in this secret place where maturity is formed. God’s character is goodness, and His motives are rooted in love. Therefore, in seasons of correction, we can trust His voice.
John 15:1-2 says, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”
The Lord will often take us through a time of pruning in order to remove the hidden areas stunting our growth. Any bad habit, negative mindset, and fleshly attitude that remains in us affects our relationship with Christ as well as our circle of influence. Correction is uncomfortable, but He never shames us. Remember, everything that reveals truth is light to the soul. We want His fruit residing in us—love, joy, peace, patience, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He doesn’t want us living in the same cycles and patterns that pull us from His presence. He desires maturity. Trust the pruning process and know that perseverance will finish its work so that we may be mature and lack nothing.
Pray this prayer with me:
Shine your revelation light on my life and expose the unfruitful areas. As I sit in the stillness, let your loving correction cut off every unfruitful branch and break down any hindrances. As my soul waits in silence, it is in your word I will hope.
