Day 4: Moses – Strength to Lead Despite Fear
Scripture: Exodus 3:1-12
Key Verse: “But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?’” – Exodus 3:11
Moses didn’t see himself as a leader. When God called him to confront Pharaoh and lead Israel out of Egypt, his response was filled with doubt: Who am I? Like many of us, he focused on his weaknesses rather than God’s strength.
Yet God’s answer was not a pep talk about Moses’ abilities but a simple but powerful promise: “I will be with you.” God wasn’t asking Moses to rely on his own strength but to rely on Him. Throughout the exodus from Egypt, God provided everything Moses needed by providing signs, wonders, guidance, and even words to speak.
When we feel inadequate, God reminds us that His strength is enough. He doesn’t call the equipped; He equips the called. Our confidence should not rest in ourselves but the One who goes before us.
Prayer Focus: Ask God for the courage to step into His calling, trusting He will supply the strength you need.

About this Plan

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.
