Day 12: Esther – Strength to Stand in Courage
Scripture: Esther 4:12-16
Key Verse: “And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14
Esther was an ordinary woman placed in an extraordinary position. When her people faced extermination, she had a choice: stay silent and remain safe or risk her life by speaking up. She saw God’s faithfulness in Mordecai and knew it from her people’s history, but doing it by herself in the presence of the king required incredible bravery.
With faith, she chose courage. She approached the king, knowing God had positioned her for this time. Her bravery saved an entire nation from a genocidal maniac named Haman. Her example prepared the nation of Israel to stand up against people who attacked them and tried to kill them, executing Haman’s orders. The Jews still celebrate Purim today, a celebration of standing against those who wanted to kill them, all inspired by a young Israelite Queen.
God places us in situations where we can make a difference. Sometimes, standing for truth requires risk, but His strength empowers us to be bold.
Prayer Focus: Ask for the courage to stand firm in your faith, even when circumstances are difficult.
Pühakiri
About this Plan

Jesus told us that our weariness comes from carrying a burden that is too heavy for us. Instead, we are supposed to give our problems, cares, and concerns to Him and allow Him to give us the strength to do what He asks. He will teach us to do this over the next 30 days because He is humble and gentle at heart. God's word will show us examples of people throughout scripture who put their burdens in His hands and found rest for their souls.
