Mandates for Men: Lead With HumilityNäide

Day 18: Humility Through Inconvenience
Verse: Ruth 1:16-18, “But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.
Prayer Focus: Ask God to help you serve others selflessly, even when it’s inconvenient.

About this Plan

James and John enticed their mother to ask Jesus if they could rule with Him. Jesus took the disciples aside and said, "Gentile leaders lord it over their subjects, not so with you." He was illustrating that leadership in the Kingdom of God would be different. As men, we are called to lead, but we must focus our attitudes toward humility and servanthood. The more we focus on humility, the more we act like Jesus Christ. Participate in these mandates with friends who can hold you accountable as you focus on developing yourself into a Godly man.
