A Family of the WordNäide

The Word of God is available.
The Word of God is always available to us, but sometimes we act as if it’s not. It’s like walking through your home, complaining about being hungry, while the pantry is fully stocked with food. The provision is there, yet we overlook it or fail to make use of it. In the same way, God’s Word is constantly available to feed our souls, guide our actions, and bring us peace, but we can neglect to engage with it.
Scripture tells us to let the Word of Christ dwell in us richly. It’s meant to shape the way we live, the way we treat others, and the way we worship. The Word of God has the power to bind us together in love and help us walk in a manner worthy of God’s calling. Yet, for all its power and availability, we sometimes let it sit on the shelf, untouched.
Just like we need food for physical nourishment, we need the Word of God for spiritual nourishment. It’s not a temporary resource; it endures forever, giving us wisdom, guidance, and strength to live as God desires.
Question for your Family: How can you make the Word of God a more active and central part of your daily lives?
