Some of the leading Jews and many Gentiles receive the Gospel and become disciples.

This witness provokes strong opposition to the point where Paul is attacked and left for dead.

But God; ‘opened the door of faith to the Gentiles’ (Acts 14:27).

Even though some people oppose the Lord’s work He establishes exactly what He wants to establish. It is impossible for human beings to frustrate the will of God. Despite their worst efforts ‘this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations’ (Matthew 24:14).
