A Year in Luke/ActsNäide

Along his journey, Jesus is calling the people to repentance. This story mirrors the story of Jonah. In all of its crazy circumstances, God uses Jonah to bring the Ninevites to repentance. God’s light carries hope and new opportunities, but it also brings judgment, it shines light on the darkness.
Light Himself was standing right in front of them and they still could not see it.
I love Luke 11:34-36 in the message translation.
Verse 36 says “Keep your eyes open, your lamp burning, so you don’t get musty and murky. Keep your life as well-lighted as your best-lighted room.”
How can we keep our eyes open and not miss the work of God right in front of us?
