A Year in Luke/ActsNäide

This chapter begins with the Pharisees questioning the authority of Jesus. Because they saw the connecting lines when Jesus asked them where John got his authority, the Pharisees dishonestly said they didn’t know the answer to the question in order to avoid admitting to Jesus’ same authority.
It’s sad to see when humanity holds onto our pride, unwilling to dive into conversations for fear of where it might pin us. The reality is that most likely all of us can relate to this feeling of fear when entering into conversations with God. Afraid of what it might reveal about us, the world, or even him. However, the beauty of exploring the depths of God is that if you’re honest and seeking truth, you will end up in a place that reveals to you more of who he is. And because we know that at his core God is good, there is nothing to fear in discovering his ways. It can only help to expand your perspective and grow your understanding of him.
