Why Did Jesus Come to Earth?Näide

Jesus came to be the light of the world.
Jesus didn’t merely compare Himself to light. He said, “I am the Light of the World.” He was not being boastful—rather, He wanted to express that He is the One we can trust to overcome darkness and who brings real life.
As the Light, Jesus gives guidance and wisdom. He exposes darkness and sin in our lives. That’s not to shame us but rather to make us clean and give us new life.
Through Jesus, we are free to walk away from selfish, destructive patterns of living. He is the one who fills us up with joy and helps us to be the best of who we are when we live in Him.
Jesus knew we would need help to live in these difficult times and said, “I have already overcome it all.” As we put our trust in Jesus, we can have real peace and real joy, no matter the circumstances.
He is the Light of the World. Darkness never has and never will put out the Light or absorb it.
The Light has overcome the darkness.
About this Plan

God is complex. We cannot fully understand Him. He is also relational and has been revealing Himself to mankind since the beginning of time. Jesus was not created but was with God from the beginning. Why did Jesus come to earth? Where is the peace His birth was supposed to bring? Some answers to these questions are found in this five-day Bible study.
