THE SOURCE OF YOUR PASSION
By Dennis Stubbs
Proverbs 16:3
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."
Cast:
Anglers driven to excel are often filled with passion for their sport. The world tells us to win at all costs—you’re either first or last, and being first is all about training and effort. But think about it: someone, at some time, likely trained or invested in you. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us to commit our actions to the Lord. Godly ambition stems from love, humility, and a desire to serve. When we see others struggling, we’re motivated to help, following Christ's example by sacrificing for the good of others. True joy comes from seeking God’s will, as only through His power can we achieve anything. When we include God in our passions, we connect with the true source of joy, fulfilling our pursuits.
Hook:
Reflect on Proverbs 16:3
Reel:
Spend some time thanking God for the passions He has given you. Commit to serving the Lord by serving others with your gifts. List specific ways to glorify God through your outdoor pursuits.
