Prepare for an EncounterNäide

Search my heart O God
It is vital that you open your heart to the Holy Spirit. It takes more than sitting in a meeting or listening to the Word of God to receive freedom and lasting change. Encountering God is about really connecting with God.
Sometimes we don’t want to pray or seek God because we have a sense of guilt or shame. It’s as if we are afraid to reveal our hearts to God. God already knows everything about you so there actually isn’t anything that you can hide from Him anyway.
Encountering God is about getting closer to God. Take a step closer to Him by inviting Him to search your heart.
Journalling
Read Psalm 139:23–24.
Q: What is the psalmist (David) inviting God to do?
Read Psalm 139:1-6.
Q: How well and in what ways does God know you?
Prayer
Right now, take a step closer to God. Pray and ask the Lord to search your heart. Ask Him to reveal who you are to you. God already knows you and He loves you!
