The Kid: An Advent Devotional for Middle SchoolersNäide

What do we talk about at Christmas every year? It’s all about the arrival of Jesus, the Kid who changed everything for us. The same Kid who appeared at Christmas thousands of years ago is still at work in our lives today. He didn’t just show up for one season or holiday; He came to make us new for all time! Following Jesus means choosing to leave our old ways behind and getting a fresh start in Him. It doesn’t mean we never make mistakes or that life becomes perfect. It means His Spirit works in us constantly, helping us become more of the person God made us to be.
What’s one way you want to see Jesus change your life and make you new? Spend time journaling about that, asking God’s Spirit to help you continue to become the person you were made to be in Jesus.
