God of all gods,

Lord of all lords,

who can compare to You?

From days of old,

You have not changed.

Your words remain,

Your power is present;

there are none like You.

When I consider Your magnitude,

as I watch the world spin,

I can’t help but feel unworthy.

I struggle for purpose,

I worry about meaning.

My pursuits turn to dead ends;

my desires wither without water.

I fail to understand

that my ultimate longing for this life

brings emptiness.

Rather, I will rise with the morning,

and put my trust in You.

I will seek Your kingdom,

Your truth.

I will walk with the legs You gave me;

I will pursue Your Word.

For if Your will be done,

how will anything stand in the way?

Raise me out of this fog, O Lord,

lift me up on Your powerful wings.

Set my feet on solid ground.

I will pursue the will You have for me.

I refuse to sit back,

I will not waste,

I will go.
