Selah Day: God is Across All Nations
Daniel and his friends knew that even though they were in Babylon, God was with them, because God is not just In Jerusalem (where they were from) but is the creator of heaven and earth. This is actually the incredible revelation of the book of Daniel, that God remained with them even though they were in exile in a foreign country, Babylon. God truly is God across all nations. No matter where you find yourself, he is with you!
We are going to pray through Psalm 113 today, establishing our rest in the God who is across all cultures, exalted over all nations.
Praying through a psalm is a great way to engage with the power of the word of God in prayer. It will build your strength and establish a strong identity that God is bigger, more powerful, and more amazing than you can imagine.
Prayer for today
I thank you, Lord, that as I read Daniel and pray Psalm 113, I get a fresh understanding that no matter where I am, you are enthroned, in control, and in charge. That you are concerned and take care of the poor and the childless woman, you see the vulnerable and are to be praised no matter what I see on this earth and in the culture around me.
