Faith, Part 1 of 3Näide

Faith is all about the Lord Jesus
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Believing is an attitude of trust toward the Lord God. But it is also about factual truths that we must accept. For faith is not something vague and fuzzy. Nor is it about subscribing to an elaborate set of rules or detailed theories laid out by a church or leader. In fact, believing is about knowing, acknowledging and trusting a Person: Jesus Christ. He is the only connection between us humans and the Lord God. He is the crucial difference between the Christian faith and other religions or worldviews. That is why the first Christians said shortly: “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.”
He is the Son of God. He is our Lord. He died for us and rose again from the dead. These are facts that every Christian must believe and confess. Paul makes no bones about this in 1 Corinthians 15: “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile.”
Futile, useless faith - that is dangerous, deceptive and meaningless. If you consider yourself a believer but do not believe in the risen Christ, then you are “of all people most to be pitied.”
How would you summarize the essence of your faith?
