7 Devotions to Lead Day by Day and Night by NightNäide

Tenacity to Lead
Nehemiah had the tenacity it took to lead and accomplish the vision God had put in his heart. Whatever your vision is, it will be tested, tried, evaluated, and criticized. You need to be ready to lead and have a vision to lead, but you will only see it become a reality if you have the tenacity to lead. When you have the tenacity to lead, you hold firm to the vision that God put in your heart. Whatever the adversity, you persevere, and whatever the opposition, you persist. When it is God’s vision, you will do whatever it takes to accomplish it.
Since they first heard about it, Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem opposed Nehemiah and the vision. They never encouraged but only tried to discourage. You will have people who will mock you and despise you, just like these three men did to Nehemiah, even when they do not know you. Therefore, you need tenacity in your vision, perseverance in your faith, and determination through your adversity. Tenacity is vital in the life of a leader. What level is your tenacity in leadership?
Declare: I will seek to have a more extraordinary tenacity in my leadership.
God, I ask you to give me spiritual tenacity and leadership today. Amen.
