Bored Reading the Bible?Näide

As you begin your journey into the Word, one important thing to realize is that while the Word was written for us, it is not all about us. While the Bible helps us to conquer sin when we hide it in our hearts (Psalm 119:11) and increases our faith as we hear it (Romans 10:17), it’s a misconception to see ourselves as the focus of the biblical narrative.
When we recognize this truth, it helps us shift our focus from ourselves to the real message–God’s love and redemption through Jesus.
If you don’t see Scripture's main purpose as pointing us to Jesus, you'll miss the point of reading it.
You'll notice that the more you begin to read Scripture with the right perspective, the more you’ll fall in love with the Author.
I want to encourage you to take the next few days and pray into this area of your walk with God. Ask that He would help you see His story unfold in Scripture and deepen your love for this Book.
Let's Pray:
Father, would you open my eyes to see Your message and story unfold as I read Your Word? I pray that as I undergo this reading plan for the next few days, You will ignite a new fire in my heart for Your Word.
