More to the StoryNäide

Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now, What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
How did the story of the woman's past play into her response to Jesus at the time of their meeting?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
- What do you think it's important for us to hear this story?
- What does the parable Jesus told tell us about how he views our individual stories?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
- Have you ever been forgiven for something when you didn't feel like you deserved it? What was that like?
- Is there someone you find yourself judging or comparing shortcomings with? What does Jesus' teaching reveal about this?
- How can you show gratitude to God for not holding your past against you?

About this Plan

God's story is not a story meant to be put away on a shelf somewhere, but it's one we're meant to explore and experience because we're deeply connected to it. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at the story of God and see how we can make a difference in our communities because we know there's more to the story.
