Running From MyselfNäide

DESIRING CHANGE
Have you ever felt like you wanted to run away from a situation, a place, a person, or even yourself? I have. Over the years I’ve moved around, changed jobs, completed different educational courses, and had different relationships all in the hope that they would bring me happiness or move me to a better place in life.
What I found was that throughout all of these things, I was still me. Yes, I was gaining new knowledge and skills, or I had a different view out of my bedroom window but inside I was still me. Deep down I still had those insecurities, anxieties, and character flaws that led me down the same path, making the same bad choices time and time again.
I got to a very painful place where I knew the only way things were going to change was for that change to come from within. From the inside. But how? Nothing I had tried had worked or if it did work, it was short-lived.
There was a sudden realization that this change was bigger than me and anything I had known. It had to come from a supernatural force that was more powerful, and it led me to God. He was the only one who could change my heart. He was the only one who had the power to make this change lasting.
Maybe you are in that same place, frustrated with going around in circles, repeating the same cycles. Are you ready to stand up and say enough is enough? Is it time for that heart change?
