What Jesus Said About Total Surrender and Death to SelfNäide

The Cross Must Go Deeper in Our Lives (2)
The cross should cut through my right to have my own will, my right to how I will spend my money, or my "human rights." The cross should cut through my right to my ambitions and plans–I must choose God's will in all situations.
The cross must cut through everything that hinders the work of the Holy Spirit in me–everything that doesn't honor God or takes away the focus on Jesus.
The cross should go so deep that I will not pursue "important things" for my own sake. Do you long to be someone great or to do something big? Do you dream of reaching great heights or "to be known?" Will you be satisfied with what God gives and allows in your life?
Obedience: Is the cross going deep enough in your life? Ask the Holy Spirit to apply the cross deeper in your own life. Be specific.
