Journaling Through LentNäide

Renewal of the Mind
We’ve just completed the first phase of this 40-day Lent journaling devotional by focusing on repentance. Now, let’s embark on the next phase of focusing on renewal.
The next important step is to invite the Holy Spirit to renew us wholistically.
The first and most important area of our being that needs renewal is our mind. Paul mentions several times in the New Testament about the power of the mind and how thoughts control our words and actions. Our minds are battlefields where the enemy can influence our thoughts and ideas. In doing that, he can exert control over our entire beings.
Paul warns us in Romans 12 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." It's only when our thoughts are transformed that our entire lives are transformed.
Today, as you come before God in the secret place, invite Him to renew your mind.
As you align your thoughts with God's truth, you invite transformation. Meditate on these verses and let your mind dwell on the goodness and purity found in Christ. Allow God's Word to shape your thinking, guiding you toward His perfect will.
Journaling Prompt:
Create a visual representation of your thought transformation. Use colors and symbols that convey the beauty of aligning your mind with God's truth.
