What the New Testament Says About the Attributes of GodNäide

LIGHT IS A TIMELESS vivid picture of God. Light pierces the darkness. Light symbolizes the good that overtakes evil. Light brings hope, happiness, clarity, and justice. Light represents the truth. When a room is dark, what vision or hope is in it? Light makes all the difference in a dark room.
God is light in a dark world. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. In a final, powerful picture, God describes Himself as the light of the new, perfect city He will establish one day. John writes, “I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light” (Revelation 21:22-23).
Are you eagerly waiting for that day? One day even the city will shine with God's glorious light.
