21 Day Favor FastNäide

DAY 11: INTEGRITY
Prayer Topic: Ask for strength to live a life of integrity and honesty.
Devotional: Integrity is a commitment to honesty and moral uprightness. In Proverbs 10:9 (NIV), it says, "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out."
During this fast, ask for the strength to live a life of integrity and honesty. Trust that integrity not only brings security but also reflects the character of Christ.
There was a time when, as a teenager, I bought a jacket that was too big and needed a smaller size. The store I bought it from didn't have my size, so I went to a store down the street that had my size and convinced them that I had just lost my receipt and needed an exchange. I came home and told my dad, thinking he would celebrate how cunning I was. Instead, my dad said, "Adam, that's not good integrity and our family works for what we have, we don't lie or steal for what we want." Phew, what a lesson on integrity I learned early on.
Quote: "The only reason integrity should be a burden to you is if you enjoy being dishonest." -Sam Storms
Reflection 1: Reflect on moments when you faced ethical dilemmas. How can choosing integrity over expediency impact your character and influence?
Reflection 2: Consider people in your life whom you admire for their integrity. What qualities do they possess, and how can you emulate them during this fast?
