Pause: A Month of Prayer in Five Minutes a DayNäide

Proclaim
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Phil. 4:6)
Prompt
One of God’s promises I find myself leaning on more than I realize is the promise that He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means the God who worked on behalf of Jesus, Jacob, Moses, Mary, and David is the same God who loves me!
If God cared for them, I can trust and remember He’ll take care of me. I may not know when or how, but I know He will. I believe that He will, and I want you to as well. You must believe today that God is WITH YOU! This trust will help keep you free as you walk through whatever today has in store for you.
As our song for today says, He’s the same God. We need to call on Him through prayer and watch what happens.
Prod
What’s your favorite story from the Old Testament? Reflect today on how God worked in that story, and then ask him to work for you in the same way.

Pray
Jesus, I’m so grateful that you’re always the same! You are the Alpha and the Omega, beginning and the end! You walked with Moses, and you walked with me. You spoke through Peter, and you will speak through me. You gave strength to Mary, and you will give strength to me. You are with me, God… Thank you for your love, thank you for hearing me, thank you for being my solid rock. Amen.

About this Plan

Depression. Loneliness. Comparison. Greed. Addiction. People-pleasing. These are tools of the enemy to steal your calling and rob your joy. In this reading plan, drawn from his book, Lance Lang invites you to neutralize those tools by pausing each day, studying scripture, reading encouragement, taking action, and refocusing your attention on Jesus.
