Fulfillment: Allowing God to Meet Our NeedsNäide

Desperation
One Sunday, the pastor's vulnerability was on full display as he fell to his knees and repeatedly said, "I need Him, I need Him, I need Him!" with tears running down his face. His desperation was a demonstration of where he knew his help came from. In moments of desperation, Satan will try to trick us into seeking different solutions to our problems. Sometimes, it's busyness, drinking or drugs, hyper-sexuality, shopping, or whatever vices he can use to get (and keep) our attention. However, it's essential to recognize these things as a distraction and ask God to help us seek Him first.
In those difficult moments, we pray that our desperation pushes us toward Jesus. May we seek Him out in prayer, worship, reading His word, and gathering with other believers. Doing so will help us obtain what our soul needs to fulfill God's will for our lives.
Reminder: No matter what we've done, God loves us and always desires us to draw near Him. In return, He will draw nearer to us (see James 4:8).
Today, spend some extra time with The Lord, even if it's 5-10 minutes. God bless you!
