Advent: Exploring Hope, Peace, Love, and JoyNäide

Pray
Dear Lord, Elizabeth and Mary encountered firsthand the bright, shining light of Your joy. They knew You were working in their bodies, forming John the Baptist and Jesus and preparing them for the work they would do on earth, and they felt hope bubbling up in their spirits. Thank You, Lord, for joy. It’s one of those emotions that I can all too easily take for granted. Today, Lord, I choose to rest in Your joy, and remember that true joy comes from being in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
