God's Redemption Story (Genesis)Näide

Sometimes, God’s timing is unexpected and frightening. Abram was 75 years old when God said, “Leave the family farm and start walking. I’ll tell you when you get there.” And this wasn’t the kind of sightseeing we like to do in our motor coaches. There was no comfy bed, compact kitchen, or pump-out service for the waste tank. We’re talking about tent camping without so much as a fold-out camping cot.
If we received such instructions from God, we’d likely respond with, “Thanks, God, but that’s a hard pass.” But Abram packed up, hit the trail, and received a blessing beyond his imagination. Genesis 12:7 says when Abram got as far as Canaan, God said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” He looked around in every direction and realized his kids and grandkids would own it all.
Is God asking you to do something that seems uncomfortable, weird, or impossible? God’s blessing for your obedience could knock your socks off!
