Chasing God’s GloryNäide

The Glory in Suffering
Sometimes, we go through hard times in our lives. Maybe you know what it feels like when your feelings are hurt, or someone close to you dies. Sometimes hard things happen, even on good days, and we feel sadness and joy tumbling inside us.
God is with us when we are hurting. If we lift our eyes, we might see Him in the soft colors of a sunrise or feel Him when our grandma holds our hand.
God suffered, too. His Son Jesus went through pain and died. That made God sad, but this was part of His glory. This was His plan so that you and I could be welcomed into God’s family. Jesus rose from the dead and came back to life. There was glory in His resurrection.
Question: Have you ever gone through something hard or felt pain? What helped you feel better?
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for suffering so we can be part of God’s family. When I am feeling sad or mad or hurt, help me to remember Your courage and glory. Amen.
