Back to School: Encouragement and Wisdom for the New School YearNäide

Do Your Best
A new school year often brings all kinds of new assignments and responsibilities for our kids. Some tasks will be met with excitement and enthusiasm, while others might be miserable and boring. Likewise, our kids will face moments when they are asked to follow rules that appear senseless or unnecessary.
In these moments, we have a golden opportunity to teach them a profound lesson: the significance of working for an audience of one. Colossians 3:23 guides us to work with diligence and enthusiasm, as if we're working for the Lord himself. It's a truth that extends beyond the classroom, providing our kids with a framework for their work ethic, integrity, and character as they grow into adulthood.
When our children diligently complete their tasks and choose to respect and obey their teachers at school, they are exemplifying the concept of working for an audience of one. They understand that their actions are under God's gaze. This understanding helps them perform every task to the best of their ability, obey even when it's challenging, and cultivate integrity.
