Lion’s Den
God’s Word is extremely clear on why we must protect our minds.
It is also clear that we cannot do this alone. You need strong brothers in Christ to fight alongside you as you build your own Lion’s Den.
When most people think of a Lion’s Den, they envision a dangerous place that no one should enter. That is exactly what you want to create - you want to keep Satan out of your group of brothers as you grow together.
Proverbs 27:17 gives a masculine definition of what this looks like for believers, and it should be applied to your social life. You need friction in the Den to stay sharp and ready for battle. Lion’s Dens are not a place to lounge around.
Keep in mind that the members of your Den may change throughout different seasons of life, and that’s okay. An effective Den should be continually pressing you to grow and holding you accountable.
Question to Consider
- Who are men in your life that could be part of your Lion’s Den?
- How can you get out of your comfort zone and create the friction a fellow brother needs to help them grow?
- What actions will you commit to today to be the leader God intends you to be?

About this Plan

The mind is powerful and, when harnessed correctly, can be a dangerous adversary to Satan. In today’s world of constant connectivity, your guard must be up. This can be overwhelming, and if you are not paying attention, you could enter a battle you are not prepared to fight. However, God’s Word guides us on ways to protect and sharpen our minds to be effective in the fight against darkness.
