Finding Peace in RelationshipsNäide

Does my life look different?
Can you imagine a peace so palpable that even the dogs wouldn’t get riled up? My own little dog gets anxious when practically anything happens outside our door.
But our faith in God can produce peace like this—a peace that makes it obvious who we are trusting. This verse points to a key moment before God’s people were rescued from slavery. The Israelites’ situation had not changed yet as of this verse. They were still slaves. Yet, God was working out good in their lives.
God wants there to be a difference in the lives of those who trust him so that others see supernatural peace. How have you seen peace like that in your life or in the life of someone you know who follows Jesus? What was your response when you saw it?
Act
Go to an animal shelter and love on some animals. Notice how it’s not quiet there!
Pray
God, I want a distinct life of peace. Show me how to believe you for your peace.

About this Plan

Whether it’s social media, the news, or our own households, it’s like no one wants to live in peace. Getting their own words heard—often forcibly—seems to be more important today than just about anything else. It’s exhausting, all this posturing and shouting. What if we start creating spaces of peace? Think what might happen if all these little pockets of peace started popping up all over our communities.
