From Burned Out to BlessedNäide

More blessing than you expected
In 2021, Florida businessman Bobby Read wanted to purchase some property next to the water tower in the town where he lived. He signed the papers, did the deal for $55,000, and then found out a shocking surprise—somehow, in a detail that neither Bobby nor the city realized—he had purchased the water tower too! He thought he was getting a little land, but he actually got a whole lot more! (Don’t worry; he gave it back.)
That’s like Jesus. Some think Jesus just gives us heaven. He lived for us and died to take away our sins so that one day, we might escape the pain of this life and be with God. And that’s true! But there’s so much more.
Because right now, Jesus gives us a water tower’s worth of God’s approval, more than enough to quench the thirst of our souls. We are weary and burned out because we want someone to think we’re good, so Jesus made us good in the eyes of God. He gave us more approval than our souls can even hold, an approval that will never end or run out. Because of Jesus, God will always be happy with his people. Always.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:20,21). Jesus gives you more than just heaven, immeasurably more. What a Savior!
