Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 7Näide

Today’s chapter includes very well-known stories about Jesus’ birth and childhood. When reading through did you realize that the two verses sound very similar?
Luke 2:19 says: “But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.”
These words are repeated similarly at the end of the chapter in verse 51: “His mother treasured all these things in her heart.”
As a young girl, Mary was chosen by God to receive His son. I can’t even imagine how she must have felt about everything that happened to her. The birth of a child, a long journey with a newborn, and the wonderful but at the same time disturbing prophecies about her son.
In Verse 33, it is said that Jesus’ father and mother were speechless with surprise at the words that were spoken over Jesus.
However, Mary treasures everything in her heart. For me, Mary is a strong model of faith; although she does not understand everything, she trusts God and is willing to surrender her life to God.
I want to encourage you today, maybe there is some word of God that you do not understand at the moment, or that is difficult to relate to. Treasure it up in your heart like Mary did and trust God that you will experience His wonderful promises coming true in your life.
