Adam and Eve were the first people God made, and He gave them the choice to love and obey His Word and live or to choose death by sinning against God. They chose to disobey, and as a result, we are all born into sin. The culture says, “Everyone is basically good.” While it’s true that everyone is loved, we are all sinful. Only a sinless sacrifice could take away our sins. The Good News is that we are freely made holy through what Jesus did on the cross. We don’t earn our way to God; He came and rescued us!
