Listen to the audio or tap forward to read today's passage (Nehemiah 2) then tap back reflect and pray below.
Reflect
Nehemiah is distraught over the condition of Israel and convinces the king of Babylon to allow him to rebuild the protective walls around Jerusalem. How do we know that Nehemiah had a well-thought-out plan? Before responding to the king, what does Nehemiah do and why is this important? What was the point of Nehemiah’s night operations (v.11-16)? Who is the real authority and power behind the Jerusalem renovation? In what ways is God shaping my life?
Respond
Lord, you are the master architect. Create in me a new heart that will shape how I respond to my family, my unit and my community. Amen.
