The Bible promises there is no darkness in God at all. That means that there is no deceit, no underhandedness, no selfishness, and no manipulation. God never deceives, never misleads, and never manipulates. Of course, so many things in our lives are unknown. So many things that we don’t understand. So much stuff in this broken world that hurts. That’s when we can be even more grateful for the light God brings into our world. Because of it, there is something you can always count on, God’s goodness. God is always good, and He is always working for good. Good is who God is, and goodness is what He does. So, don’t let your circumstances cloud your ability to see the light of God’s goodness.
If you are walking through a dark spot, grab God’s hand and trust Him with what you’re walking through. Lift it up to Him in prayer today, asking Him to shine a light on the broken, dark places that hurt. Then, keep your eyes open for His goodness and light in your life.

About this Plan

Stories teach us life lessons that stick with us well after the last page is turned. That may be why Jesus often told stories to convey a big idea or truth. He knew stories would connect with our hearts. We’ll dive into a few of those stories (parables) together. As we study, we’ll discover the power of those stories and how they can apply to our lives, as well as the power of Jesus as a teacher and a storyteller.
